The Story
Original quilt pattern design by Lindlee Smith of Plains and Pine. This design is made up of large star blocks which can be constructed using either Y seams or no Y seams. Y seams can often be intimidating and sometimes frustrating so I wrote this pattern with the option to use Y seams or not. It's up you you, but "Y NOT" try it! If using Y seams, there is also the option to make a checkerboard background with 9 patch blocks. There are 4 quilt sizes in this pattern: Baby (33.5" x 33.5"), Throw (63.5" x 63.5"), Twin (63.5" x 93.5"), and Bed (93.5" x 93.5"). Skill Level: Confident Beginner - It requires cutting and sewing on a bias and sewing with a consistent 1/4" seam. The pattern includes tips on how to do this accurately.
